High School– 5 years, graduation 58/60.
-ENGINEERING
graduate - Genoa State University.
Engineering studies
lasted 5 years, may ‘83 - june ‘88, graduated 110/110 cum Laude and press dignity in Mechanical Engineering.
1988 Industrial
Automation specialization.
1989 (05.09.1989) registration
in the Italian Book of Engineers (ALBO
degli Ingegneri-Genova) at N.6178.
1990, Economy- master in Turin (6 month).
1999, Structural Civil Engineering specialization
course at Genoa University, 6 months.
2000, Plasma Technologies applied to waste final
treatment, master and course at MIT
(Boston, USA), 6 months.
2006 Start of patenting
procedure of the Plasma treatment of wastes for energy production and materials
recycling. During 2010 release of Patent
n. GE2006A000034 (patent application n.000034/2006 CCIAA).
Besides standard
engineering studies and courses, also Control and Measurement, Numerical
Methods, Mathematical Programming and Optimization, CAD Computer Aided
Designing, CAE Computer Aided Engineering, Advanced Programming Languages.
During last University year was developed a CIM program: a ‘Tools Management
System’ with Robotics application and FMS managing.
In July 1989 on
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering magazine (Vol.1, n.4) was published an
article of mine: "An expert scheduler for tool-stock management in a CIM
environment".
Many other
publications were made during the time, especially in waste-management, final
treatment of wasted, pollution-prevention, water and land pollution..
I studied also
recycling processes, both technical aspects, both procedural programs: from
post-production to waste materials (plastics, other oil derivates, lubricants,
used Pb and other battery-materials,etc.); I studied particular energy
production processes from wastes (co-generation, biogas, synthetic
gas/gassification, etc.).
I developed some new
Software Programs (“WASTE”) for
people working in recycling/environmental field: the general purpose program,
may be personalized for specific uses; this Software deals with
waste-treatments, transportation and stocking controls under a
technical/procedural point of view and it helps the user about all
administrative procedures (EU waste laws).
Working Experiences
Navy
Officer (September 1988 - December 1989); during this period I teached technical
subjects to Navy people (Basic knowledge of Computer), other jobs were
technical training to Navy personnel and technical supervising of works
(installing engine and other navy devices on board or in Navy bases).
Assistant
Product Manager (January 1990 - December 1991) in FIAT Auto SpA - Direzione Prodotto, I
had to study and compare different technical solution onto the Fiat cars and
main Competitors’ ones.
Materials
and Quality Manager (January 1992 - December 1995) in FIP SPA (Glynwed International Group,
England), this group produces plastic devices (valves, pipes, fittings, etc.);
my job was to better recycling processes using plastics from wastes.
Project
Manager (January 1996 – June 2000) in ATC AG (German-Swiss Engineering Company,
based in Luzern (CH)): I was responsible to develop new plant designs and
projects especially in environmental and energy fields, customers were European
Companies, but also North American and from Australia and Far East. Main job
was to act as a Main Contractor Manager to design factories and plants “all
inclusive” from the paper to the final asset.
Technical
Director (January 2001 – 2003) for Italian Environmental and Energy Companies
(Sicil Oil, Risaliti, others): my job was to direct all waste treatment plants,
from exhausted mineral oil, to recycling of lead batteries and municipality
wastes final treatments.
Director
of Mine (2004-2009) West Africa Bauxite facilities (CBG, Compagnie de Bauxite Guinèe, a mixed company
Alcoa – State of Guinea): the job was to manage new and existing mine sites mainly
in Northern part of Guinea (Kamsar, Sangaredi, others).
Safety
Inspector/Safety Engineer (from 2010) of lifting equipments, pressure equipments, gas or steam
for Italian Public Agencies (mainly ARPA Puglia, Regional Agency Puglia,
official web site www.arpa.puglia.it) mainly in heavy
industrial sites: steel Companies, refineries, cement Companies.
At this moment I’m
doing the same job (Safety Inspections) for Italian Ministry of Labour
(Ministero del Lavoro, official web site www.lavoro.gov.it)
Professional Profile:
Technological/Scientific:
Mechanical
Engineer (main title), Energy and Waste Manager Engineer (first sub
specialization), Industrial Engineer (second sub specialization), Structural,
Civil (third sub specialization).
Skills about Waste
recycling plants (energy and materials); skills about procedures and techniques
of environmental protection and remediation of contaminated sites; skills about
Plasma Technologies and controlled molecular division applied to wastes.
Plasma
Technology Specialist:
During last 6 month
of 2000, I was at MIT (Massachussets Institute of Technology, Boston (MA), USA)
where I attended a master in Plasma Technology applied to waste final
treatment.
Since that time I
worked to develop this new kind of equipments (production of electrical energy
and small quantity of melted vitreous material from them), that represent a
sure and relevant step in the environmental technological progress (progressive
dismission of waste land-filling and incinerating).
In many occasions I presented
new technology during important international meeting: one of them was on March
16th at USA General Consulate of Naples to point out the
possibilities offered to all operators, public and private, for waste problem
solving.
Moreover I patented
in Italy a Plasma Technology Procedure to treat wastes.
Specific skills:
